PCBs

Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are an essential component in modern electronics, serving as the foundation for many electronic devices. PCBs are essentially thin boards made of non-conductive material, with conductive pathways etched on the surface, which allow electrical signals to travel between different components. These boards can contain a wide range of components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, microcontrollers, etc…

They are typically manufactured using a combination of automated and manual processes. The first step is to design the PCB layout using computer-aided design (CAD) software, which helps to optimize the layout for maximum efficiency and performance. Once the design is complete, the PCB is manufactured using a process called photolithography, which involves etching the conductive pathways onto the board using a light-sensitive material and a series of chemical baths. After the pathways have been etched, the board is cleaned and inspected to ensure that everything is working properly.

There are many different types; each designed for a specific purpose. Some of the most common types include single-layer PCBs, double-layer PCBs, and multi-layer PCBs. Single-layer PCBs are the simplest type of PCB, consisting of a single layer of conductive material on one side of the board. Double-layer PCBs have two layers of conductive material, while multi-layer PCBs can have up to dozens of layers, allowing for more complex circuit designs.

At ECA, we offer a wide range of PCB modules, including single-layer, double-layer, and multi-layer PCBs, with various SMT and THT components, all designed with the latest technology and expertise. Our modules are known for their quality and cost-effectiveness, enabling our customers to develop high-performance electronic devices while keeping their costs under control.

Did you know it?

The first industry to employ PCBs was the American army, becoming a trend on both sides during the Space War.

In the 60s, one PCB could have 20 or 30 transistors. Nowadays, an identical sized board would have over one million.
